My name is Rosalba. I am a Latina from Chicago, daughter of Mexican immigrants and the owner of Zola Skincare, a new and fresh company that offers natural, simple and clean alternatives to skincare.
My journey toward nontoxic skincare started 16+ years ago when I became pregnant, paying close attention to what was going in and on my body. After my first child was born, he developed eczema. But I soon realized the truth about the ingredients that were in the prescribed solution for his skin condition which propelled me to begin making my own body whip for my kids as well as myself.
The more research I did, I learned the hard facts about the ingredients used in the beauty industry. This pushed me to explore alternatives, thus expanding my own products beyond body whip.
Zola is a small business that was created November 2020. Through my products, I want to share the knowledge I have acquired all these years.
All of our ingredients are 100% natural, non-toxic and whenever possible, responsibly sourced and certified organic. Zola Skincare focuses on making products that are safe, gentle, and effective for all skin types. All of our products are made in small batches assuring the freshest quality results. We do not use any fillers like water or alcohol, so a little goes a long way. Zola Skincare products are free of parabens, emulsifiers, fillers, preservatives and all harsh and toxic chemicals. We never use synthetic fragrances or artificial colorants on our products. We only use essential oils and clays (for coloring) that are derived from plants.
Through Zola, I am personally growing as a new small business owner and am committed to producing high quality and effective products that deliver natural, simple and clean results.
